2022-2023 LYBA House League Programs

Boys & Girls Grades 3rd-8th

The LYBA is excited to offer our House League Basketball Program to boys & girls in grades 3rd-8th!  Learn the fundamentals of basketball in a super fun environment for ALL skill levels.  League focuses on teaching the fundamentals of basketball, good sportsmanship and having a positive attitude.  This league is about having fun and playing with your friends.  Our goal is for all kids to love basketball and want to keep playing!  

House League Practices begin the week of November 27th, 2023.  Each house league team will have one practice per week and one game per week. Players will grouped in divisions by grade and gender.

In Grades: 3 to 8 for 2023-24 School year

2023-2024 LYBA Pre-K-2nd Grade Basketball

**Pre-K players who are age 4 and up**

When: Saturday mornings, time TBD

Where: Morris Elementary School, Lenox

Lowered hoops for all programs will be used.

All players will be given a game shirt to wear each week.

Kinderdribblers: (boys and girls, Pre-K +K)

Kinder-Dribblers is a great introductory vourse to the skills of basketball.   These little b-ballers will be learning the basics and having a great time putting their excess energy to good use! 

Girls Biddy Basketball: (Grades 1 +2)

Attenttion girls, this league is for you! Fundamental skill development will be emphasized in a fun, confidence building environment 

Boys Biddy Basketball: (boys Grades 1 +2) 

Let's play some hoops! Skills include dribbling, shooting, ball handling and passing.  An emphasis on teamwork and social skills will be encouraged.

Welcome to travel league registration! 

The LYBA sponsors travel basketball teams in the following age groups: Grades 3 & 4, Grades 5 & 6, Grades 7 & 8

Tryouts will be held during the first weeks of November for all groups.  Tryout details coming soon.   In order for a player to be eligible for a travel team, they must play in the LYBA house league program.  The travel program is a higher level of basketball, playing time is not equal and there is a bigger time commitment.  If you register for travel and numbers do not allow for a team to be formed, a refund will be issued.   

Travel Teams in grades 5th-8th play in the Berkshire County Travel League and in tournaments on the weekends.   There is no Berkshire County League for grades 3/4, this group plays in tournaments on the weekends.
